SONATA - Theater Poster Illustration

Sonata is a theater adaptation of Ingmar Bergman's famous movie "Autumn Sonata". I was asked to make a poster to promote the play. The poster was also sold to raise funds for the realization of the play.

"...A mother and her daughter. What a terrible combination...of emotions and confusion...and destruction."
The play is about a famous pianist and her daughter, focusing on their traumatic relationship. For this piece, I was heavily inspired by cubism as a way to capture the tension of the bond between the characters.
